I'M NEW HERE
Watch this video for a brief introduction to the church.
Bridgeport’s weekly gatherings take place Sundays at 10:00 AM in our building at 3101 Gilham Plaza in the heart of Kansas City. Our gatherings are a casual, missional environment structured to foster existing spiritual growth among believers as well as be a safe place for seekers to come together and hear about Jesus. The core elements you will experience are: dynamic worship, scriptural teaching and authentic community cultivated through personal connection and prayer.
We promote an environment of community where relationships can develop naturally into a house of friends. To this end, we barbecue, throw parties, and hang out often. In addition, we encourage community through community groups and community forums.
We have a strong passion to partner with families to offer a safe, loving environment for children to have fun while developing a relationship with God, discovering their own God-given uniqueness and spreading God's love. We believe in our children and place their spiritual, intellectual, and emotional development at the center of all that we do. This is accomplished through a lot of love, time, individual attention and Goldfish crackers.
Belong. Believe. Change. We believe this is an important sequence necessary to provide a safe environment to grow and belong. All growth, whether spiritual, emotional or relational, is vital for our life and wellbeing. The role of the church is to provide a context to be equipped, challenged and encouraged in this pursuit. It is God's plan for us to lay down our lives for one another to see destinies be fulfilled. We call this the spiritual journey of discipleship, the ultimate joy of our calling, and it is at the heart of what Bridgeport is all about.
Community Development & Engagement
We engage in a variety of activities and expressions to have a presence in the face of our city’s most desperate needs. We partner with existing operations to bring life to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of Kansas City’s financially destitute, imprisoned, underprivileged and afflicted.
