Community Forum – Round 2 – Come on out!

On a cold, wet October night, a group from varied backgrounds packed the back meeting room at Bridgeport and began a conversation on community. A conversation full of stories, dreams, nightmares and rebirth emerged. Woven through all the voices was a shared desire for an authentic expression of community to emerge at the ground level of this new church.

We spent the whole night telling stories, listening to one another and agreed we needed more time to continue this conversation about how organic community develops. We agreed there were pitfalls in failing to cultivate community in a spiritual family as well as pitfalls in putting too much structure on it. And we agreed, that somewhere in the middle is a radiant, life giving expression of community that we long to see at the heart of Bridgeport.

So we’re coming back together- Tuesday, the 27th at 7pm at Bridgeport. We invite you to come take part in this dialogue and let your voice be heard. We’re hoping to have maximum feasible participation in this conversation, so put it on your calendar, bring your friends.
